The Atlanta Auburn Club is honored and proud to be associated with The Dream House for Medically Fragile Children, Inc. This local non-profit organization was founded to establish more therapeutic foster homes in the Atlanta area for children who are dependent on life-supporting treatments, medication, therapy or equipment to survive.
The first of these therapeutic foster homes is located in Lilburn. The AAC is a sponsor of the ‘Tiger Room’ in this very special home. The AAC presented Dream House with a check for $500, as well as some vital ‘Tiger’ accessories---incl. a framed, autographed photo of Aubie, a giant stuffed Tiger donated by J&M Bookstore, and even a music box globe that plays ‘War Eagle’.

Dream House was founded by Auburn alum and nursing grad Laura Moore, who in a 20-year career of working as a pediatric nurse repeatedly observed the hopeless plight of medically fragile children---who suffered abuse, abandonment and life in a hospital for months, even years, because their families were incapable or unwilling to care for them. In Georgia alone, hundreds of children are living this existence.
The mission of Dream House is to save these very special children by providing a temporary, therapeutic, family-centered home where they can live and grow. The organization also aims to increase community awareness about the desperate plight of these children and provide an effective teaching environment for their care.
