For several years now, the Atlanta Auburn Club has been partnering up with Georgia Public Broadcasting for one of our most popular and fun community service projects. GPB has pledge drives throughout the year and the club volunteers to help answer the phones during a couple of them. This project helps GPB foremost, but the Pubic Relations value it holds for the Auburn Tigers & Auburn University in the state of Georgia---is priceless!!
Where else can you hang out in a television studio with the likes of Rick Steves (Europe Through the Back Door) and Robert Kiosoki (“Rich Dad’s Guide to Wealth”), and entertaining programming that includes Josh Groban, Eric Clapton with B.B. King, Patsy Cline, The Antique Road Show and The Grand Ole Opry.
AAC volunteers answer the phones, and in return GPB provides dinner and snacks----and a chance to be on television! The program is broadcast state-wide and even into bordering states---including Auburn, Alabama, courtesy of WJSP 28!
